Potassium aluminum sulfate is an inorganic substance with the chemical formula KAl(SO4)2, colorless crystal or powder. Odorless, slightly sweet and astringent, astringent. Weathering in dry air loses crystal water, and dissolves in humid air. Soluble in glycerol, soluble in water, aqueous solution is acidic reaction, after hydrolysis of aluminum hydroxide gel precipitation. Insoluble in alcohol and a-cetone.

1.It is mainly used as a coagulant for warm and turbid water to purify water quality.
2.In the papermaking industry, it is used as a sizing agent and used in conjunction with rosin emulsion for paper sizing to improve the water-resistant strength of paper.
3.In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used as a preservative, astringent, and hemostatic agent. Added into alum, it can be used as an external astringent and hemostatic agent;
