Anhydrous sodium sulfite is white powder; Sodium sulfite heptahydrate is colorless or slightly yellow crystal, easily soluble in water, the aqueous solution is alkaline, easy to weather in the air and be oxidized to sodium sulfate. 1.Treatment Agent • Dechlorination Agent: Sodium sulfite is used to remove residual from water, preventing corrosion of equipment by . It is widely applied in the pre-treatment of drinking water, industrial water, and reverse osmosis systems. • Oxygen Scavenger: In boiler feedwater treatment, sodium sulfite is used to remove dissolved oxygen from water, preventing corrosion of metal equipment by oxygen.
