Cetyl stearol, chemical formula C18H37OH [1], white solid crystal, granular or waxy, fragrant. Melting point 48 ~ 50ºC, boiling point 344ºC. Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform- and mineral oil. It is sulfonated with concentrated sulfuric acid and has no chemical effect in case of strong alkali. It has the function of inhibiting greasy feeling, reducing the viscosity of wax raw materials, stabilizing cosmetic emulsion and so on.

APPLICATION:

Used in various cosmetics, as a substrate, especially suitable for creams and lotions; It can be used directly in W/O emulsifier paste (as an auxiliary emulsifier), ointment base, etc. The raw material of flat addition can also be used as defoamer, water and soil moisturizer, color forming agent; It can also be used as raw materials for the production of alcohols, amides and sulfonated products.
 

STEARETH-2 is an oil-in-water nonionic emulsifier with superior performance used in polar oil creams and emulsions. It can form a more powerful emulsification system and is a versatile and efficient emulsifier. Applicable to a wide range of pH values, with excellent lubricity, spreadability, solubility and carrier properties. Used as an emulsifier to prepare creams and lotions.

Steareth-2/21 is a white waxy solid. This product is a pair of non-ionic O/W emulsifiers. Stearyl polyether-2 is oil-soluble, and stearyl polyether-21 is water-soluble. It is added to the oil phase and the water phase respectively to form a stable emulsification system, and the emulsified paste system is delicate and bright. It can form a liquid crystal system with specific grease. Suitable for a wide range of PH values, with excellent lubricity, spreadability, solubility and stability.
