One of the most common applications of DMG is in the baking industry. Distilled Monoglyceride is used as an emulsifier, which enhances the shelf-life of bakery products and improves their texture. E471 emulsifier also helps to increase the volume and improve the crumb structure of baked goods.
Another popular application of DMG emulsifiers is in the production of margarine. Distilled Glycerol Monostearate is used as a stabilizer and emulsifier in margarine and other fats. It can improve their consistency, texture, and stability. It also helps to prevent the separation of oil and water, providing a smooth and homogenous product.
